This is a rural village area above Puerto del Carmen, situated in the mountains, backing onto the National Park, and close to the wine growing region of La Geria, which is only a few minutes drive away. The local town of Tias is 2km away and here there are many lovely local Canarian Restaurants which we recommend you try, a local bakery, which is highly recommended and the local supermarket where one can shop for almost anything you need. In Conil itself there is also a local supermarket and Tapas Bar approximately 1 km,the Tapas bar is absolutely to be recommended. The local church is also just down the road. In the church courtyar there is the local 'sociadad' which serves drinks and snacks and is great fun and full of locals. For those of you who love to walk, or bike ride, this is a wonderful area to explore and will provide you with some wonderful and memorable views, so remember your camera!


There are plenty of beaches for you to enjoy in Lanzarote, make sure you take your island map and be adventurous. There is so much to see on the island, and the driving provides you with the most superb views and unusual scenery. In Puerto del Carmen, just a few minutes drive away, there are plenty of large sandy beaches from where you can enjoy the sun and sea, water sports, and local restaurants/shops.

Take a drive through the volcanic lava fields to the South and to the lovely old fishing town of Playa Blanca where there are some lovely beaches for you to enjoy, and many beautiful hotels. The new Rubicon Marina, one of the best in the world, is well worth a vist, and there are lovely shops and restaurants for your to enjoy. A few minutes drive to the National Park to explore the Timanfaya volcano or to Papagayo with its wild and sandy beaches. Take a picnic and spend the day.

Take a drive North towards Haria and stop at Arrieta where you will find a lovely black sand beach and superb beach restaurant. A bowl of mussels will cost you only 9 euros and are absolutely superb!

There are a variety of sports for you to enjoy, Windsurfing, Sailing, Scuba Diving, Surfing, Canoing, Jetskiing,pedalos and many more. The old harbour area in Puerto del Carmen, provides access to all these sports or if you wish to go further afield you can go to Costa Tequise or Playa Blanca.
If you take a drive to Famara, there is a wonderful beach and perfect sea for those who love to Surf.


You can also enjoy many other activities on the island, cycling, horseriding, hangliding, golf, deep sea/game fishing and there are spas in the hotels providing all you need.


There is a wonderful market in Tequise on Sunday Mornings. Tequise is a beautiful old Canarian village just a few minutes drive from the villa, through La Geria. The market is definitely worth visiting, and has some wonderful local restaurants/coffee bars for you to enjoy.  For wonderful local produce drive through La Geria to Mancha Blanca on Sunday mornings.  Wonderful food market with local produce.
